Be Honest with God

Lately as I've been praying, I haven't been giving everything to God. I'm always holding a little something back.

I realized that it's essential to be completely honest with God. He understands everything that is going on in your life, so just be honest with Him and tell Him how you're truly feeling.

I think so often when we feel dirty and unclean, we're so afraid to approach God. I know I've felt that way many, many times before, and I still continually struggle with it. I'm too scared to come to Him so soon, so I stay away until I felt like I've done enough righteous deeds to earn my way back into His loving arms.

But God desires us to come to Him, right away.

Let out all of your emotions, and give it all to Him.

"Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7

Allow God to Make the Decisions

Throughout our lives, we are faced with many crucial decisions. Some daily decisions may be small and possibly even insignificant. However, some decisions are major and life-changing.

So why not allow the Holy Spirit to pave the way?

When you make a decision, is it what you think is best for you, or what God is instructing you to do? His understanding is beyond measure and He cares so much for you. Don't go with what you think, go with what God is telling you.

Isaiah 55:8-9 states:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

As it states in Proverbs 3:5-6, you must "lean not on your own understanding." We have limited knowledge. 

His knowledge is unlimited and He knows what's truly best for us, even if He's trying to teach us an important lesson that will ultimately benefit us as people.
